Two Rivers Winery and the Chateau

Two Rivers Winery and the Chateau

After all the adventures, sitting down for a refreshing glass of wine might be right up your alley! Nestled between the gateways of the Colorado National Monument is the family-operated Two Rivers Winery and the Chateau. Although this winery is relatively new, it is becoming a Grand Junction Tradition. The entire project was built literally from the ground up on 15 acres of vacant land in 1999.

Located in the Redlands area of Grand Junction, wines of noble varieties can be tasted and purchased in the intimate setting of the tasting room. Spend some time in the winery for a fascinating tour or take in the stunning scenery. All visitors are welcome to try the award-winning wines and discover a genuinely unique and unpretentious tasting experience.

The winery’s hosts, Bob and Billie Witham, are from the Western Slope of Colorado. They’re usually happy to say hello and welcome visitors. The Winemaker is generally on hand to answer any queries about the wine-making process, too. The Two Rivers Winery and the Chateau are open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The last tasting is at 4:15 p.m., so make sure you get there in time to taste some delicious wines!

The wines available are limited, but they’re outstanding! The winery now produces 14,000 cases of wine each year. By just producing six distinct sorts, the Winemaker can pay more attention to details and achieve consistency and predictability in each release.

The wines they now produce are Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling, Syrah, and Port. Two Rivers Winery uses both conventional and modern technology to create a product that is truly delightful to drink. The Chardonnay has a lovely bouquet of vanilla in the nose with a delicious and lingering finish. This wine exemplifies the style as they strive to make light and smooth wines with plenty of flavor and character. Who wouldn’t want a taste of that? Two Rivers Winery has even garnered over 60 different awards in International Competitions since they first processed grapes in 1999!

If you find a wine that you love during your visit, you can purchase it both in specific stores in the area or online! Two Rivers Winery will ship their wines to you in up to 15 other states.

Wines are not the only thing offered at Two Rivers Winery and the Chateau, as they have beautiful spaces for guests to enjoy.

The Chateau is a Conference/Event Center and Wine Country Inn that provides luxurious accommodations and attentive service for weddings, parties, reunions, and other events. This is truly a destination place. The ambiance is that of a French Country Chateau, thanks to the architecture and furnishings. The style may be noticed as you approach the surrounding structures, which continue throughout the interior. There is a fully equipped catering kitchen where even the most demanding chefs and caterers will be satisfied. You will need to check out the outdoor pavilion during your visit, too!
