Elitch Gardens

When visiting Elitch Gardens in Denver, CO, arrive early. This amusement park opens at 7 a.m. and gets more crowded as the day goes on, especially during the summer months. As a theme park, you’ll want to spend some time on the water rides since most people will prefer to go there first. However, if you want to avoid the crowds, consider a Rapid Ride Pass, which allows you to skip the queue at rides and saves you time. It is located at 2000 Elitch Cir, Denver, CO 80204.

Elitch Gardens was compelled to relocate after nearly a century at its original site. After all, it was rapidly outgrowing its origins and encountered severe space limitations. So in June 1994, the organization acquired a 67-acre plot of property near downtown Denver and invested more than $90 million in constructing the park there after only 15 years at its initial location. The construction of this memorial was aided in part by government funding, as well as loans and grants. While some people were opposed to the relocation to the new site, the movie has since been a success, and the park is still a favorite among locals.

The slogan of the park, “It’s not a theme park; it’s a community,” is as old as the theme park itself and the history goes back at least as far. Since its inception, this motto has greeted Denver citizens and visitors alike. In reality, the park’s motto “Welcome to Elitch!” has been graffitied on the sides of attractions and flower beds.

The park, which was founded in 1891, has been one of Colorado’s most popular amusement parks. No matter when you visit, there will be more than 50 rides to keep you occupied. Whether you’re shopping for thrilling attractions or fun family activities, Elitch Gardens in Denver CO will provide delight. There’s also an Elitch Theatre where you can see a performance if you’d like to relax and unwind with some culture. There, you’ll find some of the most famous performances in the world, like P.T. Barnum, Grace Kelly, Lana Turner, and Cecil B. DeMille.

The rides at the park are always improving, and they will surely thrill even the youngest visitor. The Mind Eraser suspended roller coaster, Tower of Doom’s enormous vertical plunge, and Shipwreck Falls, which is a family water ride. Elitch Gardens has also recently opened a water adventure park called the Island Kingdom, along with the Trocadero Theatre, named after the famous Trocadero Ballroom. Both the theater and the park can seat more than 700 guests, making it a great venue for various occasions.

CNL previously operated Six Flags Elitch Gardens, but when the firm bought it, PARC was retained to run the park. It has since ditched the Six Flags name. The original name of Elitch Gardens, which has since been changed to Herschend Family Entertainment, was founded by Frederick and Josephine Elitch. The children’s area now includes three new rides, as well as two more in the KiddieLand.
